Maya Collins

Head of Product, Acme

Maya Collins

Maya leads product at Acme and has spent most of her career making software do slow, repetitive work so that people can spend their week on the parts that need judgement. Before Acme she ran product for a workflow tool used by small teams in operations and finance.

She writes about the everyday side of working with an AI assistant: how to brief it so the first draft is usable, which tasks are worth automating and which are not, and where a person should still make the call. Most of her posts start from a mistake she or someone on the team made last week.

When she is not writing, she is reading support conversations to see what people really ask for, and trying to turn the three most common questions into something the product answers without being asked.
